HARRY HICKTON REJOINS EXCELR8 FOR REMAINDER OF 2026 CAMPAIGN
Harry Hickton will rejoin EXCELR8 for the remainder of the Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE season after confirming a switch of teams ahead of this weekend’s event at Knockhill.
Hickton, the winner of the MINI CHALLENGE Trophy title back in 2024, moved into the headline JCW class for the first time that same season when he joined forces with EXCELR8 for the season finale on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix.
Stepping into the car that had previously been raced by Dan Zelos en-route to the title, Hickton impressed on his debut with a best finish of sixth from the three races before moving up into a JCW car for a full season last year.
Preparing the car himself alongside his father David and running with the support of Manpower Motorsport on race weekends, Harry took the fight to the bigger teams throughout the campaign as he became a regular fixture in the top six, with a best result of third in the penultimate meeting of the year at Silverstone.
Having battled over the winter to rebuild his car following a huge accident back at Brands Hatch during the final round, Hickton rejoined the grid for a second full season in 2026 and heads to Knockhill sitting seventh in the standings.
Rejoining EXCELR8, Hickton – who has a single podium finish to his name so far this year – will hope to regularly challenge for silverware over the remaining three events on the calendar, with his ultimate goal being to challenge for a maiden JCW win.

“Every time I’ve been out on track in a JCW car, I feel I’ve been capable of more than we have achieved and now I want to try and really show what I can do. EXCELR8 are the best team on the grid, and I know that they will give me a car that can push for wins.
“It will take a bit of getting used to having team-mates again having run by myself for the past 18 months but I’m confident that this is the right move for myself and my sponsors for the remainder of the year.”
