Ash Sutton made headlines once again, securing his milestone 50th BTCC victory before backing it up with another incredible charge through the field later in the day. The four-time champion leaves Brands Hatch with three more podiums and an extended lead in the standings.

The final race of the day at Brands Hatch Indy delivered another BTCC thriller… and reigning champion Tom Ingram finally struck back. 🔥

Round 6 of the 2026 season saw Ingram secure his first victory of the year, fighting his way through the pack after a frantic opening lap that had Ash Sutton attempting a bold move for the lead around the outside of Paddock Hill Bend.

Pole-sitter James Dorlin held firm in the early stages, but with Sutton, Ricky Collard and Ingram all piling on the pressure, the battle at the front was relentless from start to finish.

Once Ingram found his way through, the Team VERTU driver never looked back, while Sutton recovered from a mid-race shuffle to continue his remarkable weekend with another podium finish.

There were standout drives throughout the field too, including a superb charge from Gordon Shedden from the back row of the grid, plus strong performances from Mikey Doble, Daryl De Leon and Josh Cook.

Starting from 13th on the grid, Árón Taylor-Smith carved his way through the field in sensational style, producing move after move to claim his first BTCC victory in 10 years.

Ash Sutton and Ricky Collard were locked in the fight at the front throughout, while Tom Ingram, Aiden Moffat and Mikey Doble all battled their way through the chaos in a race packed with overtakes and changing conditions.

From slippery opening laps and an early safety car to a thrilling battle for victory with Ricky Collard, Race 1 delivered action from lights out to chequered flag.

Behind the lead fight, Tom Ingram and Dan Cammish went wheel-to-wheel in a fierce scrap for the podium places, while Tom Chilton, Sam Osborne and Mikey Doble all charged forward in another dramatic BTCC encounter.

Dan Rowbottom sits down for an open and honest conversation during Mental Health Awareness Month, discussing the realities of navigating mental health within motorsport.

The British Touring Car Championship driver talks candidly about the pressure of being a racing driver, the vulnerability in such a competitive environment, and how mental health challenges can often catch up with you away from the race weekend atmosphere.

Rowbottom also reflects on his time away from racing between the ages of 22 and 27, the mindset struggles that came with stepping away from the sport, and how his partnership with Jason Plato and Cataclean Plato Racing came together.
