Ginsters EXCELR8 with TradePriceCars.com partners with Race Against Dementia

The Ginsters EXCELR8 with TradePriceCars.com team can today proudly announce that it will enter into a new partnership with Race Against Dementia in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Race Against Dementia was created by multiple Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart after Helen, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia back in 2014.

Facing up to what he readily admits has become ‘one of the biggest challenges’ of his life, Sir Jackie, as the driving force behind Race Against Dementia, has embarked on a new programme seeking to find a cure for a condition that affects tens of millions of people around the globe.

Coming from a sporting background where every second counts and where rapid development is vital to success, Sir Jackie’s mission is to bring together different industries to work towards the common goal of gaining a better understanding of dementia.

As a result, the charity has already started work to unite the best minds from the worlds of technology and engineering – such as Formula 1 – with those from the world of science in a bid to accelerate the pace of dementia research.

Kiltads Motorsport Marketing, which has worked with the charity for a number of years on a wide range of fundraising initiatives, has played a key role in the creation of the new partnership, which will see Race Against Dementia feature on the Ginsters EXCELR8 with TradePriceCars.com Hyundai i30 N Fastback of Chris Smiley throughout the course of the season. The Northern Irishman will also take up a role as a Race Against Dementia champion during the year ahead.

As well as seeking to raise awareness of the work that Race Against Dementia is undertaking in a bid to help those affected by the condition, EXCELR8 with TradePriceCars.com is also planning to do its part to raise additional funds for the charity during the year ahead, with further details to be revealed in due course.

Justina Williams, Ginsters EXCELR8 with TradePriceCars.com team owner said:
“This is a partnership that we are extremely proud to announce ahead of the 2021 season, and the drive and desire that Race Against Dementia has to try and fund innovative research into the condition is something that we wholeheartedly support. In a relatively short period of time, the charity has already achieved a huge amount and we know that their cause is one that the passionate fans who support us on track will get behind in large numbers during the year ahead.”

Dr Penny Moyle, Race Against Dementia CEO, said:
“Race Against Dementia are thrilled to have the support of Chris Smiley as our first Race Against Dementia Champion, and of the EXCELR8 team. This great opportunity, enabled by Kiltads Motorsport Marketing, allows us to highlight the unique approach that Race Against Dementia is taking in instilling the mindset of F1 and motorsport racing to catalyse a change in dementia research.

“We look forward to working with Chris and the team to raise awareness of the crisis of dementia within the BTCC community, and establish a strong partnership as we work tirelessly towards beating dementia.”

Colin Stuart, Kiltads Motorsport Marketing Ltd, said:
“As current fundraisers for Sir Jackie Stewart’s charity, Kiltads Motorsport Marketing are delighted to have brought Race Against Dementia and EXCELR8 together, along with Chris Smiley as ambassador. We are excited about the future possibilities for the partnership, and wish all parties a successful season ahead.”
