BRISTOL STREET MOTORS with EXCELR8 welcomes Repsol and Millers Oils as major BTCC partner

The Bristol Street Motors with EXCELR8 team can today confirm an exciting new partnership with Spanish multi-energy company Repsol, through its UK distributor Millers Oils, ahead of the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season.

The new partnership will see the iconic Repsol logo adorning each of the Bristol Street Motors with EXCELR8 Hyundai i30 Fastback Ns doing battle in Britain’s premier racing series, and comes as Repsol prepares to make a move into the UK via its partnership with Millers Oils.

As part of the new, multi-year agreement, Millers Oils logos will also proudly appear alongside that of Repsol on the race-winning BTCC cars – putting both brands in front of large trackside crowds and a live, free-to-air TV audience across the season.

The Repsol brand has been synonymous with motorsport since the 1960s, most notably in the world of MotoGP where the Repsol Honda team has secured multiple championship titles with riders including Mick Doohan, Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez.

Repsol-backed cars have also appeared in various major four-wheeled series, including the World Rally Championship and in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Whilst the new partnership with EXCELR8 will be the first time that Repsol along with its UK distributor Millers Oils, has been involved in the BTCC, the company is no stranger to the touring car arena having supported the Nissan Primera of Eric van de Poele in the Spanish Touring Car Championship during the 1990s.

Repsol was also a major backer of SEAT’s factory programme in the World Touring Car Championship from 2005 through to 2010, during which time it secured both the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ titles in 2008 and 2009.

The partnership comes at an exciting time for Repsol as it continues to work alongside Millers Oils on preparations to enter the UK market, with the agreement putting the brand firmly into the spotlight in front of a knowledgeable crowd packing with automotive enthusiasts.

The high profile of both the Bristol Street Motors with EXCELR8 team and the BTCC as a whole will also be the ideal way to promote the Repsol name to a wider UK audience.
