OLIVIER ALGIERI MAKES JCW MOVE WITH EXCELR8 FOR 2026

Olivier Algieri will move up the JCW class of the MINI CHALLENGE for the 2026 season after confirming his place on the grid with EXCELR8.

The Llandudno-based racer had looked a strong bet for championship honours last year in the Cooper class before circumstances outside his control derailed his title challenge, with his focus then turning towards trying to put a JCW deal in place for what will be his third season as part of the MINI CHALLENGE family.

Those plans saw Algieri join up with EXCELR8 for the final event of the 2025 campaign, with the youngster now concluding a deal to move up into the headline category with the team alongside his primary sponsor NEX3PL Global Logistics.

“I’m over the moon to announce that I will be stepping up to the JCW for the 2026 season with EXCELR8 and NEX3PL Global Logistics,” he said.

“This is a championship I’ve looked up to for many years, and I truly feel ready to take on the challenge. After the setbacks of last year, I’m more motivated than ever to make the most out of this opportunity and arrive in the championship ready to fight for the top spots.

“After joining forces with EXCELR8 at the tail end of 2025, it quickly became clear that this was the right move for me. The team’s experience and success within the category give me huge confidence going into the season ahead.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to every single person who has made this season possible — especially Carlos from NEX3PL Global Logistics, Bianca from 24Productions, and Justina at EXCELR8 Motorsport for giving me this incredible opportunity.”

Carlos Marin, CEO of NEX3PL Global Logistics said the company was pleased to extend its support for Algieri into a new season.

“We at NEX3PL Global Logistics are excited to continue supporting Olivier Algieri for the 2026 season,” he said. “Olivier represents the consistency and quality that NEX3PL Global Logistics stands for and proudly delivers to our customers worldwide.

“There is no-one else we would rather have to represent NEX3PL Racing in the MINI CHALLENGE.”

Algieri is the third driver to be confirmed by the defending champions alongside Tom Ovenden and Cemil Cipa.

“We are delighted to confirm Olivier’s move into the JCW category as part of our line-up,” EXCELR8 Team Owner, Justina Williams said. “This was always the plan when we joined forces towards the end of 2025, and our desire to make the deal happen only increased after our weekend working together.

“Olivier showed what he could do in the Cooper class last season, and we have no doubt that he will be one to watch again this year in a JCW, and very much in the mix for some silverware.”
