JOB VACANCY – BTCC NO.2 RACE TECHNICIAN

Current Job Role Available: Experienced BTCC No.2 Race Technician

Job Type: 10 race weekends with potential additional test days
Workshop Location: Droitwich, UK
Experience: Previous racing experience (preferably within BTCC)
Travel: Regular travel to any circuit in the UK
Salary: Competitive (based on experience)
Position Starts: ASAP

EXCELR8 Motorsport has an exciting opportunity to join our BTCC team operation for the 2026 season. EXCELR8 Motorsport is an established race winning and Championship winning team.

To be considered for this role, you will need previous experience of a comparative role within motorsport. You will need to have drive, determination and a can-do attitude to succeed in this role. We’re looking for the successful candidate to have experience of complex decision making and strategic thinking when faced with challenging situations. Strong organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking are essential to thrive in this role.

The role will require you to work on our BTCC race cars at both the racetrack and the workshop. You need to have a keen eye for detail and a dedicated work ethic. The nature of the business will, from time to time, require you to work additional hours to achieve strict deadlines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

– Fulfilling the requests of the No.1 Technicians

– Maintenance tasks

– Follow engineering and technical procedures during the rebuild and preparation of the car whilst respecting agreed deadlines.

– Follow instructions quickly and effectively, be highly motivated, have effective communication skills and work well in a team

– Sub assembly

– Upkeep of your work area, compliant with all H&S and company policies and procedures

– Responsible for the tools in their designated draw of the awning toolbox

– Loading and Unloading of Trucks

– Any other item requested by a senior team member
