Excelr8 Motorsport to hold Ginetta Junior Driver Assistance

Program Shootout at Blyton Park

Excelr8 Motorsport have recently added two Ginetta Junior cars to their already extensive Race Car fleet. With plans to take on the Ginetta Junior Championship in 2017, Excelr8 Motorsport are giving drivers a second chance at gaining a subsidized racing opportunity.

The Ginetta Junior Championship runs alongside the British Touring Cars on the TOCA package and has been a proven breeding ground of up and coming drivers aged between 14 and 17. Ginetta Junior’s is widely viewed as the default entry level Championship for young talented drivers that are looking to make a career in motorsport, due to being closely watched by many influential members of the motorsport world as well as the large exposure of the TOCA package.

Excelr8 Motorsport are already well established leaders in the motorsport industry, currently running a successful MINI CHALLENGE campaign which has yielded multiple Championship titles. Excelr8 will also be involved internationally in the 24hr Endurance Series. Adding Ginetta Juniors to their calendar is an exciting prospect that will allow the team to apply their race winning strategies to a new formula.

To promote Excelr8’s new venture in the Ginetta Junior Championship they will be holding a shootout day at Blyton Park on the 10th of February 2017, working alongside Ginetta to give young talented drivers an opportunity to take the first important step in their racing careers. The day will consist of some professional tuition from Ex-Clio Cup Champion and Ex-Touring Car driver Phil Glew, followed by a shootout session for the drivers to go head to head. The winner of the shootout will receive a one-time subsidised offer to race with Excelr8 in the 2017 Ginetta Junior Championship.

Excelr8 Team Owner Justina Williams commented: “We have built Excelr8 on the premise of winning. We instil this in everything we do and we have proven this over the years with our involvement in Production Touring Cars and also MINI CHALLENGE. Our involvement in the Ginetta Junior’s will be no different, Excelr8 will be there to win, though we are not unrealistic and understand that there will be a lot for us to learn and that success will not come without hard work and dedication from the team. Excelr8 will be in it with every intention of achieving the same success that has been achieved elsewhere.”
